A few odd photos from July 2023

Jasper and Tommy at Doune Castle, Stirling. You might recognise the castle from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (click / tap to enlarge).

Here are the odds and ends from last month that didn't get published in any of the other articles.

By the way, the photos of Jasper and Tommy from Dunimarle Castle at Culross, reflect the fact that they now welcome dogs in the grounds (not the castle itself). Access to the grounds is also free! Their signage hasn't been updated to reflect their changed policy on dogs but all well behaved pooches are definitely allowed in on lead, so ignore the signs that still say guide / assistance dogs only! They have a lovely new café open (The Orangery) with outside tables on a terrace that affords great views over the Forth. Dogs aren't allowed inside the café but are allowed in the outside seating area. It's a short but fairly steep walk through the grounds to the castle and café along good tarmac paths. If you want to visit the castle itself (without the dogs), you'll need to book on to one of their occasional tours. More info about can be found on their Facebook page and website.

Enjoy the photos! As usual click / tap to enlarge them.
