Ochil Hills Woodland Park, Alva, Clackmannanshire

Last week we visited the pretty Ochil Hills Woodland Park at Alva, Clackmannanshire. The park sits at the base of the Ochils between Alva and Tillicoultry and is split both sides of the access road. We wanted a short walk for Jasper and Tommy on this occasion and since it was a nice day, rather than walking from home we jumped in the car and headed here.

We stuck to the lower part of the park which is hilly with lots of steps but it's less than a mile to walk around. The boys had a fantastic time exploring and the burn running through it of course delighted Jasper! It's best to visit on a dry day as the paths can be pretty muddy and slippery otherwise. There is a decent size car park on site and you'll also find a picnic area there. Information is current as of our last visit in April 2023. Further details about the location and a map of the park can be found on the Clackmannanshire Council website.
